Shamir Launches New Brand Indentity

Shamir today launched its bold new visual brand identity. Our goal was to create a corporate brand identity that would match our future goals, says Shai Michael, VP Marketing. The new positioning, developed after an extensive brand audit, epitomizes the essence of Shamir — developers, designers, and manufacturers of revolutionary and innovative premium progressive lenses and moulds for the ophthalmic industry.

The new visual brand identity features a new logo and graphic concept. The logo, while retaining the recognizable Shamir red, emphasizes the S in Shamir, creating a stronger and more memorable reference to the company name. The dramatic graphic concept puts the focus on Shamir’s strengths — their ability to create lenses which deliver the company’s brand promise of ReCreating Perfect Vision.

It’s not the frame but the lens that improves your vision and enhances your quality of life, explains Michael. We also wanted to use real, everyday people (as opposed to traditional models) who express themselves, are creative, and dare to be different.

The new branding reflects our growth and future-oriented vision. It showcases Shamir’s consistent image of stability, reliability, and professionalism, and also reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, quality, and exceptional value, says Michael.
