Superlite 1.60

Shamir’s SuperLite 1.6 plastic material stands out because of its superior capability to be drilled and mounted into rimless frames. With Shamir’s SuperLite 1.6, labs can create lenses that are 30% thinner and lighter than lenses made out of a regular plastic substance. This advanced substrate enables labs to surface lenses to a 1.3 mm center thickness. In addition, it gives the lens the capability of having an Abbe value of 42[D] – a higher Abbe value than other high index or polycarbonate lenses.

Shamir SuperLite 1.6 is an advanced substrate material providing numerous advantages:

  • Highest quality material for rimless glasses.
  • A strong and durable material, it can be surfaced down to 1.3 mm centre thickness and meet FDA standards.
  • Its impact resistance level is exceedingly high, enabling it to successfully compete with polycarbonate.
  • It has a 100% UV light absorbency level.
  • It is compatible with hard coating and A.R. coating.
  • It has a specific gravity of 1.3g/cc.

SuperLite 1.67: a new, improved MR-10 formula

Shamir’s SuperLite 1.67 formula is based on the optimal MR-10 monomer on the market. Developed by Eyal Optical Industry, this SuperLite formula enables the creation of fully aspheric, asymmetric progressive lenses that are 30% thinner and lighter than other lenses made out of regular plastic material. Capable of being surfaced down to 1.3mm center thickness, the lenses ensure stylish chic coupled with a feeling of visual well-being.

Shamir’s new, advanced SuperLite 1.67 formula is based on Mitsui’s MR- 10 monomer. It leads the industry because of these benefits:

  • Shamir’s substrate has the highest light transmittance in the 1.67 lens market.
  • Shamir SuperLite formula transforms the lens into the clearest 1.67 lens on the market.
  • The formula’s high stability to RX and fitting processes enables trouble free surfacing, edging and drilling.
  • The lens is capable of withstanding high temperatures in order to undergo coating and tinting (up to 100°C).

SuperLite 1.74: exceedingly resistant to UV rays

The result of a new, unique lens molding process guaranteeing:

  • Durable optical parameters that stand up to UV rays for a long time period.
  • Durable grey lens shade that is continually safeguarded. Unique production process eliminates the typical yellow shade associated with 1.74 SFSV lenses.
  • Near elimination of odors usually associated with the production of 1.74 lenses.
  • High processing capabilities
